We have a responsibility more than that, no more than that a duty as a church. When I say Church that does not allow for a cop out that allows it to be all of us so if I'm not comfortable we are in it together so some one ells can pick up the slack. Every single one of has a personal responsibility to reach out and not let those individuals that are lost just slip through the cracks.

This hits me right in between the eyes and maybe any one ells who reads this.

How many of us in this country get caught up in this in some way shape or form. It's what makes America one of the greatest places in the world to live because of the freedom but if we miss place our priorities we run the risk of falling into the trap this video speaks to.

It's not a religion but a relationship

Christianity is not a religion in the way most of us define religion. There is a set of principles to live by. A place to gather and worship. And a level of organization that would seem to make it no different than any other religion in the world just another sistems of beliefs that are blindly followed by the masses that proffess to be Christains.

The reality is that at the core of christianity is not a building or a coad of conduct or even the bible itself, it is a relationship with the one true God that lasts on into eternity and at it's very best that relationship defines all that one who claims to be a Christain is. All the rest is an outward exspretion of that relationship and any thing short of that is simply not Christainity.

The most unsetleing thing about this reality is that most of those who gather on Sunday or atleast from my exspierence miss the true reason that the church they worship in even exists in the first place or even the point of the bible itself. The bible itself is not the core but the guild and all that the Lord put into our hands as suficent as to know Him. The bible is not to be worshiped but studied so that the relationship can grow in depth through understanding.

Christianity is not at all a religion but a relationship any other description misses the point to the detriment of both the one holding the belife and any it is shared with.

The what freedoms lost? It's what libertisy lavished!

Too many people some how believe that you some how give up your freedom to follow Christ. The very thought is insane. So you give up some thing like drunken sex but you gain freedom from those demons that have been holding you back. Let me be totally transparent I was heavy into porn before I got saved and just dropped it like the bad habit that it was and never looked back until the last few years pride slipped in and I fell and fell hard and for so long I struggled in my own strength to climb that slippery slope swearing every time that it was the last and feeling like every time I was letting God down. Just recently I came to understand I wasn't letting God down by falling back into sin I was missing the power of His grace and I found that freedom all over again. You don't loose freedom you gain liberty. All that is impossible with man is possible with God and there is nothing beyond where He can take you and nothing beyond the strength that is never your own. So drugs and drunken sex is out the door but being always and for ever more unconditionally loved with a peace that surpasses all understanding is more than a trade off. You don't give up your freedom you gain liberty. freedom to do what for liberty from everything.

The Evolution of Me

If you click on this one it may be a little hard to follow but I was very in general and had to say something to get my emotions on paper so my faith with attitude came out. That's what I do emotions raw and really capturing the moment in time that's what I do and how the why I am a poet. So click and read if it works for you and see if you can follow.

Honestly I don't know what I would do if some one took the pen out of pen because I pray for myself and others on paper with most intensity. I would loose it with out poetry and a journal. My relationship is not dependent on the pen but it is how I talk the most personally it seems. I do hit my knees from time to time but I fight my battles with pen in hand.

What About Scholarships

I mentioned not too long ago that with all the money that we are spending to save the economy that we were ignoring works such as infristucture and other pordgects to beter the contry as a whole. I still hold to that.
One of the reasons we are pouring so much money into Wallstreet is to get the credit flowing again and its not we have pour as last I checked almost 1 trilion dollors in and the credit still is follwing yet. That credit or lack there of is it's killing our biggest long term investments and that is bright collage educated young people who can meet the growing demand for highly educated profetionals so that we can stop out sorsing so many jobs for lack of the workers to fill the gap not that wages aren't playing a role. We have so many students who can't afford to go the collage for lack of funds since in the present economy you have to have near perfect credit to get a lone so how about directly moving those credit scores need for lones by giving grants and low intrest goverment lones to cover the tuision needs of those who will in the end make or break our contry's long term economical goals and that is technology like clean coal, cars that can out preform our over seas compition, in true advaces in alternative fuels and power plants. All of this takes well schooled and highly educated students the work force of tomarow to realy make this contry again the world leader in every major areas of industry and not compete on lower wages but on supior product and inovation alone so that out sorsing becomes a thing that is not only unesisary but that other country's can't keep up when it comes to inovation.
The last I check our school prefomance was not even in the top 20 nations in the world highschool through K. Why not education on the most basic level resiving more of that aid because who will go on to higher education if they are already behind when the get there in the first place. My mother is a teacher and they have to fight every year just to get the most basic needs for the schools needs covered and the school she teaches at is in a town that is well off and has a higher tax flow to work with. If we are all honest and my mother has made this clear to me that the no student left behind program did not push schools but criple them. Money will help with budgets but we need that money also put into vouchers and resurch into how to make our schools preform at a higher level than they presently are.
A good friend who is a grad student at LSU just informed me that they were slashing the schools budget. That would lead not only to a lower level of resourse avalible to students but a huge loss in high paying jobs that employ some of our countries best and britest commited to turning out the next crop to fill their shoes one day. How can we alow so many jobs to be lost when we are trying to creat them. Money to suport schools such as LSU a state school but still would not create new jobs but save good jobs that already agsist in the first place and that are there to meet the needs that is the point of this whole post in the first place.
So please while we save Wallstreet lets not bankrupt the needs of our nation in the prosses.

      I believe there is one simple phrase that could save the church today and that is “I could be wrong”.

Humility has been lacking in the church for so long that it kills me. I will say this and I want it to be

crystal clear and that is that pride is a cruel master and one of Satan’s greatest tools. We argue far more

than we ever discuss and that I find truly disturbing. Let me tell you Christ is coming back for one bride

not some crazy number in the thousands even more if you count none denominational churches.

      We all pray for healing and want to see God work. I know people who have been given a death sentence

live years past the months they were given. It was by the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit. Who cares

how we believe it comes about we all want to see it and believe that it’s possible. Does any one disagree

that God can heal where, when and how He so chooses? Then why do we let the rest get in the way.

     Let’s touch on an even more sensitive topic and that is spiritual gifts and why and how they do or don’t

function today. When you get right down to it does it really matter as much as we make it out to be? I have

 a friend who isn’t even a friend but a brother who believes slightly differently than I do but we both believe

in Spiritual gifts and that they ageist. Why is it so divisive of an issue today? Does it change salvation, does

it change the power of the Spirit, and does it change the power of the blood onto salvation. Do we really disagree

 on what matters the most? No!!! It’s not that massive of a deal we all believe in Spiritual gifts some disagree

on what ones may be functioning today. I may differ from many who read this but I’m not even going to share my

 stance because I don’t think it matters enough for some one to judge me. Some who know me are going to be

crystal clear on what I believe and the rest can just wonder because that’s how important I think it is.

     Here is another one that we fight like cats and dogs over and that is predestination. Personally I believe that

each and every reader of this piece has earned hell without exception in fact Rom3:23 confirms it, and because

 of that God is sending no one to hell we are doing it on our own. This is a point that is so sourly miss when we

start arguing over this subject. And that for what ever reason in God his infonaut wisdom reaches out to those

He predestined before the world became into being on to salvation. And called us for we had no desire for God.

 If this is a point of conflict to you check out Eph2:1-3. And that is the essence of Eph2:8-9 for me and the definition

 of grace. I am simply spelling out my opiyon put many will disagree and will back there own points with another line

of scripture and I have no problem what so ever just as long as they hold true to the bible and not the reasoning

of man. The point is that from my way of looking at it is I have no way of knowing who the elect are and I have the

 same great commotion than any one ells who may disagree so we are all to spread the gospel of Christ crucified.

My point is we disagree on a point of theology not on the means onto salvation or the mission God has given to all

 of us lets put away the stupid soap boxes we all get up on and put our feet to the pavement so can hold to out true

purpose spreading the gospel. Remember “I could be wrong” and how it could save us as a church body?

      I could go on much longer but I want people to read this. If we can agree Christ died on a cross and rose on the third

 day and salvation is by grace through faith, and that is the gospel than we can unite in a powerful way. Our goal

should be to spread that message through out the world but we are to busy arguing to work together. I want to make

this crystal clear again and that is with humility we should be able to say “I could be wrong” because pride is a terribly

 cruel master and Satan’s greatest weapon against the church today. So let’s unify the church and wage war with the

 devil and not each other. I’ve said more than enough for now, may the Lord bless richly all who read this piece.

 

What You Can't See

What You Can’t See

A man walks into an alley

A group of thugs attack him

He can’t see them or hit back

Each of his attackers goes about it differently

One pushes him down so that he feels as if he can’t

 ever rise

Another insults him, hurting him and filling him

with a rage he can’t explain

Another robs him of all his emotions leaving only

 a shell of the person

Another pumps him up so high he is out of control

 and in for a nasty fall

And the worst of them stabs straight into his soul

and causes pain that just was not meant to be

The funny thing is, no one else but me can see them

or feel them, and I have never known when or where

and how … only see them in a nightmare

Every time I read this without exception it makes me just think over my life and ponder the love of God. It has no author taking credit I wonder if that is because it is such a universal truth that he or she did not want credit or to have their name some how become more important than the piece itself. They left us with something beautiful and only God to think upon and I think that was probably as intended.

Life is too Short

We spend so much of our waking hours and I am no exception on things that will never matter and will never make any difference either in any eternal sense or in the world today. How many conversations have you had in the last week that improved the quality of your life or the person you took the time to call or meet face to face, not an email we all fire off but I meen sacrificing TV time or surfing time on the net? For many of us I also pleed guilty in prayer or study even if it cost alittle sleep or cuts into what we in a certan unjustified sense call our time?

Now this may be going way out there on a political level but with all the money we are spending why no infrestrusure or programs like were done with the interstates or the TVA? Why haven't we done anything to produce jobs but instead we are pouring our money into wallstreet with such recklessness that the last time I watched the news they couldn't even acount for over $2oo billion of it? This maybe a crazy thought but how about a few power plants we desperately need with higher standards for emitions or mastransite prodjects? We want less CO2 emitions masstransit and rail lines with bidges so they can run through busy towns without those stupid rail crossings would go a long way. These projects cost alot of money but lots of that money goes into the hands of American's who want to work for a living.

Those thoughts for the country I love are important to me but when it comes down to it's the phone calls, the prayer time and cracking a bible that changes lives, oh and by the way we may want to take the time to share how that can change lives if we can spare the time.

All just thoughts of course but they might just make a but I think if some how they became more than a thought it might just matter.

Nights Like This May Always Come

Nights like this may always be

But emotions don’t define my reality

I can’t say when, how, or where, but life has taught these nights will come

Reality was found in a snowy night, cold, yet bright

A night like tonight because they always seem to come

I through the cold looked back 2000 years

A night like that never leaves when I saw the cross

His blood flowed from nails and a crown

On nights like this, my blood once flowed on a concrete garage floor

In the snow, in the light, in the blood, I found reality

Nights like this may always come, but this pain was once for all

Nights like this come, but the light in the snow always is there through those nights, and that smile I found in the snow sees me through those nights that always seem to come.

This was written when I look over old writing and relized that what I was in that moment was captured in a way I simply couldn't explain and sure as there is a God in heaven a picture couldn't touch. That was when I realy began to understand that emotions on paper told the story of my life in a way that no album ever could only the where never the who.

Many of my earlier writings were far from Godly but that's because I was far from God but at the same time they are still valid because all that was my reality was there in ink for me to relive in a way.

Much of this is to be published in a book that is in the works "a prayer for death, the gift of life"
